Important Notice: The 7th IUFRO 2.09.02 Conference Rescheduled to August 2026

Dear IUFRO Delegates and Colleagues,

We regret to inform you that the “7th International Conference of the IUFRO 2.09.02 Working Party (Somatic Embryogenesis and Other Vegetative Propagation Technologies)”, originally scheduled for June 18–24, 2026, at Northeast Forestry University in Harbin, China, has been postponed.

Due to a delay in obtaining approval for the conference from the Chinese Ministry of Education, many scholars and delegates planning to attend were unable to process their travel documents in time. To ensure maximum participation and the highest quality of academic exchange, the Organizing Committee and the Coordinators of the IUFRO 2.09.02 Working Party have carefully evaluated the situation and jointly decided to reschedule the conference to August 22–28, 2026.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disruption this schedule change may cause you. To minimize your financial loss, the Organizing Committee is committed to offering the following refund and compensation arrangements:

  • Flight and Hotel Cancellation Compensation: For attendees who have already booked flights and accommodations, the Organizing Committee will fully cover any cancellation or rebooking fees incurred due to the postponement.
  • Registration Fee Refund: For attendees who have already paid the registration fee, if you are unable to attend on the new dates (August 22–28), your payment will be fully refunded to your original payment account.

Further updates regarding the latest conference program, abstract submission, registration fees, and accommodation arrangements will be posted on the official conference website (iufro2-09-02-2026conference.web.app) as soon as possible.

If you need assistance with processing refunds, submitting proof of cancellation losses, or have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mingzhu Cheng or Haibo Wu via the conference secretariat email at IUFRO-20902-2026@outlook.com.

The conference venue remains unchanged at Northeast Forestry University in Harbin. We will use this additional time to further refine our preparations and ensure we deliver a high-quality academic event in August. We deeply appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to Harbin in August 2026!

Sincerely,

The Organizing Committee of the 7th IUFRO 2.09.02 Conference
